Danielle Bradbury Advanced Practitioner Pharmacist
I have over 25 years of experience working across community, academic and primary care pharmacy, with a strong focus on supporting patients with mental health issues.
My early career included roles in community and clinical pharmacy as well as university tutoring, this combination of clinical practice and education enables me to deliver high quality patient care and develop research opportunities to enhance our patient experience.
I joined Picton Primary Care Network in January 2022 and established the mental health team along with Merseycare colleagues to provide easily accessible appointments for the patients. I developed and implemented the PCN’s Mental Health Strategy to improve access to early intervention support. I am an Independent Prescriber and supervisor for trainee pharmacists undertaking their prescribing qualification.
My clinics support patients with a wide range of mental health conditions including anxiety, depression, insomnia, eating disorders, ADHD, OCD, PTSD and the mental health impact of chronic pain and many other mental health conditions.
Patients attending my clinics will be offered professional, non-judgmental support. While medication may sometimes be appropriate, the focus is on helping patients access psychological support, coping strategies, and community resources to promote long-term wellbeing.
I am currently involved in supporting our GP practices to engage with the Parkrun Prescribing Initiative to encourage staff and patients to exercise to improve their wellbeing and sense of community.
